When there’s no call to action

A call to action is an important beat. When it’s missing, it leaves a sort of  “So what?” feeling after reading it or watching whatever the piece is. After all, if you don’t want me to do anything different, why are you talking to me in the first place? Here is a perfect example where Kate just tells us to shine. If there had been a more actionable request at the end, and the narrative had have led to the request the whole piece would feel so much less “So what” and it would have got a way better reception:
